Overview

The Puget Sound Laundry Service was a job coaching and skills building program offering stable employment to several disabled individuals through a commercial laundry experience. Port Jobs funded the Puget Sound Laundry Service from 1994 to 1995.

In Detail

Operated by Northwest Center industries, a local non-profit organization, the Puget Sound Laundry Service was designed to serve adults with severe physical, mental, and/or sensory disabilities. Participants earned wages while in training and providing laundry services.  Job Coaches served as role models to the participants, providing intensive training and close supervision.
