Now in its second year as an EITC Campaign site, Airport Jobs was one of twelve locations throughout the Greater Seattle area where United Way offered tax preparation services. Collectively, over 200 volunteers prepared more than 4,500 returns for the 2004 tax year. Tax customers received over $6 million in refunds, including $2 million in EITC. Another 214 prior year tax returns were filed, putting an additional $220,000 back in people’s pockets.

Airport Jobs will be an EITC site again in 2006, and United Way is recruiting volunteers for next year’s program. Free tax preparation training is provided to all volunteers, and all services are provided at no cost, helping taxpayers keep more of what they have earned.
