Commission okays new SCC contracts between City & Port

Port Jobs Reports, Summer/Fall 2004

The Port of Seattle Commission authorized a new Interlocal Agreement between the Port and the City of Seattle on September 14, 2004.

The agreement allows Port project managers to utilize the Seattle Conservation Corps for construction projects over the next three years, up to a total maximum payment of $1 million.

Commission President Paige Miller noted, “This agreement strengthens economic competitiveness and creates new opportunities for disadvantaged individuals in this region.”

The Commission authorized similar agreements in 1993, 1998, and 2001.
