With airport traffic on the upswing and a number of new businesses opening at Sea-Tac, Airport Jobs' "Hiring Within the Law" seminar drew a crowd of 30 employers to the Sea-Tac Theater on March 29. Attendees reported the seminar provided very practical and helpful information.

Lisa Muller, PHR, and Bethanne Knebel, SPHR, shared ideas, tips, and do's and don'ts to help employers hire well and avoid dangerous or costly legal mistakes. They followed up their presentation with a Q & A session and a handout of web-based information sources for employers, available here for download.

Future employer seminar topics will include: Behavioral interviewing techniques; Techniques for communicating clearly with non-native English speakers; and Washington State employment law.
