Education Fair
Port Jobs’ Airport Jobs office and the Port of Seattle are jointly sponsoring a comprehensive Education Fair at Sea-Tac Airport, showcasing 20 higher education institutions in the Puget Sound area.

Schools and training facilities will have exhibits in the large auditorium all day, and various workshops conducted throughout the day will help people explore the possibility of going to school.

Topics will cover: financial aid; balancing work, family and school; choosing among higher education options; transferring credits; and education planning.

Please print out this flyer and post or distribute it to your employees. This is the first time such an opportunity has been offered, and it is targeted to any and all people who work at Sea-Tac Airport.

Employer Workshop

Recruiting, hiring and training great employees: Don’t let language get in the way.

Learn tips for working with current and potential employees who have English as their second language. You’ll learn how to:

• Increase the number of applicants who show up for interviews, badging and testing, training/orientation, and work each day.
   
• Quickly and easily assess a job applicant’s English ability.
   
• Develop and use effective interview questions, handouts, and verbal or written directions and instructions.
