As a result of the work of the Working in King County Task Force, the Port of Seattle created Port Jobs as a 501c(3) non-profit in 1993, and has been a funder ever since. The Port’s support of Port Jobs’ programs in job training and placement, apprenticeship, and related education and research makes it possible for Port Jobs to leverage other funding from the City of Seattle, King County, the State of Washington, the federal government, and private foundations.
